Home brewing is fun and quite satisfying. I even grew some Cascade hops one season. Nothing like the smell of fresh hops.🤤

Smoked turkey breast...brined 24 hrs, then back in the fridge overnight... compound butter with thyme, lemon zest and garlic under/over the skin. Resting now...Smoked at 275 with a smoke tube
225* initially but it was getting too far along too quickly so I dropped it to 200* and then to Lo, until it hit 140* IT. Then cranked it up to 350*. The skin was palatable but not super crispy. Nice smoke flavor, though. Buttermilk helps keep it tender and juicy.
6 hrs in for two pork butts, one at 160 and the other at 162, just waiting for the deluge to let up even though I have my canopy already up, before I wrap them. Taking them to my parents in WV manana for a family gathering celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary. We need the rain here in Va...
