I have used them for several years and love them. I can't see spending that much more on another brand.

Both the fan and auger are running. The hopper is full w/ new pellets. It is holding temp like it is supposed to. It just took longer than normal to get there. It has been running for about an hour or so now w/out the error message.

I have it running but it's really slow getting to temp. I have another smoker fired up in case it goes out again. It has happened twice this afternoon. If it goes out, I will transfer everything and start taking it apart to investigate. Thanks for your help.

I have six slabs on right now. I agree, an oven will work, but it won't work well enough😜

Thanks Mastertech. The money isn't holding me back. I was really wanting the smaller size. I am open to getting a bull. Why will it function better than the stampede?

I called RecTec today to inquire about ordering a 590 for a built in kitchen I have in the works. Turns out that I will need to separate the controls from the pellet hopper and relocate them w/ certain spacing requirements. Has anyone done this or seen pictures of one that has been done...
