Thanks @Jim6820 for posting! I have not many good deals so far! We have a new Costco that just opened near us and they did have Prime Brisket for $3.99 per pound. I had already bought one at my local butcher so...
If I see something I will share!
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Yes, I am a small business guy and buying local is a priority for me
@PRC Thanks, that is good advice. Sometimes you just forget you can by local!
My son is moving to CT in a few months! He is graduating next week, then moving to the Groton/NL area.
Still torn on this, I have looked at the Napoleon, l like the rotisserie and the sear station.
I also like the Grilla Grill Primate, it is reasonably priced, (for a grill junkie) and I like the versatility, i.e. the grill and griddle option.
@Jim6820 have you used the rotisserie? Also have...
Easy boys, we are all on the same grilling team!
I think we all agree with @Jim6820. I too try to buy American where I can and practical. However we live in such a global economy now, it is hard to do that.
I am leaning toward the Napoleon based on reviews, while the Grilla grill is tempting...
Interesting, so I could replace my Blackstone as well..... I was keeping my Blackstone, but the idea of one grill is well interesting.
I just want to make sure it is a great grill! IMHO it is difficult to find one grill that will do both well.
@Jim6820 chime in?
I have a 590, only cooked one at a time, not sure you could do two. That being said it is an all night event for even one. Then freezing, thawing and warming, seems like a lot to plan and a lot to go awry.
I whole heartily agree with @Jim6820 and cater the event.
Keep the cooking simple and...
Thanks all, we have already purchased a home in a Sun City community, starting the build now!
I was in a little different position, We sold our house with 20 acres, barn etc 2 years ago, moved into another small house we had until we decided what to do, had to part with alot of things, including...
My bride and I of 36 years are finally moving to a 55+ community. Very excited, HOWEVER today we discovered they don't allow charcoal or pellet grills, propane and natural gas OK. Wife loves the community and house so......
Fortunately my Blackstone is OK, and I have been doing Sous Vide with...
My 590 has been rock solid. It always fires up and gets to temp quickly. I really dont do anything except change the foil over the drip pan, clean the grates and load the pellets! I do try to clean it once or twice a year.
I agree. There are a few good BBQ places in Georgia, but honestly not like there used to be and the chains are hit and miss. Now that I know what good is, I would rather spend the money on good meat cook it myself.
The one thing I will say is the sides are probably better than mine!
I say no, I don't see the value. I will be honest, when I first got my 590, I watched Recteq Youtube channel for recipes, tips etc, HOWEVER, I quickly quit watching as they too dang long. I don't really get any good info from them and there are a ton of quality videos on youtube.
And of course...
I have now cooked tri-tip all three ways, most recently low and slow. It is a great cut to have on hand and cook it however you like, it is always good.
I got a vacuum sealer at Costo in a bundle for 99.00 , it is a Foodsaver. At first I was concerned about it holding up, but I have used it ALOT in the last 2 years and it is a game changer.
I use it to freeze leftover meat for later and for sous vide.
I would get a less expensive one, like...
That is a nice looking grill and great price, I have one as well.
Honestly if you are not sure, this is a great deal to stick your toe in the water.
I highly recommend the 590.
