Same boat. I was able to move the auger forward a little bit and now I cant get it to move back.
So disappointed in this grill. The only reason its jammed is because its been broken since 6 months after I bought it and RT hasnt really done anything to help me. It sat for so long, I guess...
That may or may not be true. Given that the grills are made in China, Im sure the stainless is suspect. Plus they use 403 stainless which will rust (Probably because its cheaper). 304 would have been a far superior material but it may have been cost prohibitive.
Good luck. Im having this discussion with them right now. Theyre brushing it off as normal.
My lid is rusting and I had to beg to get a new one. My hopper lid is rusting, the sides of my grill are rusting and RT is like "Yea, thats normal"
Will do. Just waiting for a good weather weekend to do it.
What I THINK is going to need to be changed is the power cord connector and the internal temp probe. Everything else I think will plug straight in.
I ordered some connectors from Amazon to make adapters. I dont want to start cutting on...
I have one, I just havent had time to try to put it in. I know there are some connectors that are going to be missing so I ordered molex plugs, etc to make adapters. Hopefully I can work on this this weekend.
I may be wrong about this but I think what they said was the SmokeFire produced more smoke flavor/ring than the other cookers they used in that pellet grill comparison.
I follow Jeremy pretty closely. I've never seen him cook on a SmokeFire other than when he is cooking elsewhere.
Is this the...
Got the controller in today. I THINK its going to pretty much be a drop in. The only thing that I know right off the top of my head that isnt is the probe. They expect wires to go into some screw lugs but RT has female spade connectors. Im just going to make some male connectors with a little...
I posted the source for the Savannah Stoker auger several pages back. Has anyone reached out to them direct? My 2.5 is still working flawlessly. Just did a brisket and some beef ribs.
The fan for this auger just slides off and on. You can adjust the depth. I was able to get it mostly noise free and Im sure if I opened it back up I could get rid of what little remains, but it happens so rarely, I dont think its worth it.
