SV is ultimately better for reheating without danger of over cooking. Microwaves do get a bad rap for cooking or reheating because people don't use them correctly. Reheating cooked meat at 30% power or even less can give great results if not over done. You do need to reposition and turn the...
If you have checked minimum feed rate and it is set to 3.0, and still have spikes, try checking the chamber probe. Mine was bent toward the wall of the smoker. I used pliers to carefully straighten the bracket to vertical.
I've made it a habit of hitting the fire pot and the bottom with the mini vac (only for the pellet grill} before each use. Also, check the bottom of the hopper for excessive dust.
Anyone else having issues getting consistent notifications this weekend? I am getting delayed and lack of usual messages from the smoker. I wonder if RecTec needs to add capacity to their system.
This is what I use. I have a vac for the ash, and also clean the dust out of the pellet hopper occasionally. Never had a problem with leaving the pellets in the very bottom of the hopper.
The grate is removed.
Add clock time to grid points. Current "smoker on time" shown requires you to calculate time on cook points.
Allow total cook time graph scaled to window like iGrill app so you can watch stall better.
Definitely check the probe to wall distance. I was having all sorts of temperatures problems and I finally discovered the probe was bent toward the wall from factory. It was touching, or certainly very close to touching, the wall when hot.

I've had the Stampede for a month now. I removed the grate, and still have temperature drops and overheating when the hopper gets down to 1/2 - 1/3 full. It creates a noticeable divot, and I'm wondering if it is sucking air then, or not feeding enough pellets and the controller tries to make...
