    Inner Lid Drip Shield sketch?

I don't see why that wouldn't work, or just angle iron (but since bar or pipe is round, it might just run around it and you might possibly just end up in same boat). After all, all we are attempting to achieve here is preventing the grease and resin from running down the lid, saturating the...

    Inner Lid Drip Shield sketch?

If enough members are interested, I can put this together (or someone else more centrally located to the group). Just need anyone wanting one to participate to speak up and give your forum name & location. Maybe if a few members are close enough to each other I could ship theirs together to a...

BFG auger motor in the RT-700. It's awesome!

A couple of reasons... I have done that with chips and they burn out too soon ( no long term smoke), if you try chunks they must be small (you only have about 1+" to play with), so you end up with the same as above in term of time. And second thing is, if you try to get too much wood in the area...

Has anyone noticed that this is not a RecTeq smoke stack? The cymbal seems to get the attention first. It did mine... I play drums.

BFG auger motor in the RT-700. It's awesome!

I'm just going to get the Smoke Daddy stick burner deflector, which I wanted anyway. I want the extra smoke. But that is definitely a good fix.

BFG auger motor in the RT-700. It's awesome!

Actually, and maybe I was just lucky, but I had no problems on day 2 until present. Just me messing with it on day 1. Edit: I shouldn't have worded the above that way. Don't take that to mean I am having trouble now, because I'm not. I only had a few small temp issues the first day and they...

BFG auger motor in the RT-700. It's awesome!

Yeah, you may be right about doing too much at once. I sorts had the same issues when I was plying with it. They're just like women... don't mess with them too much, pretty temperamental. Just set them and forget them. I have no problem maintaining 200 and I start all my reverse sears at LO...

    Best Brisket Knife

This is what got me interested in the Nexus slicer that I bought.

Neither of these two manufacturers are true Damascus. They are both etched... just for looks.

    Best Brisket Knife

A lot of changes can be affected by money. Most people are just to complacent to do anything about it. One of my biggest gripes is how big businesses like Walmart and Home Depot are slowing trying to condition the public to increase their revenue. They have been doing this buy putting in the...

what other interest do you have?

I can't disagree with that. I use to, but now I just stay too busy with all my other hobbies to be able to devote much time to those two. I spend time in the field, but it's to take my grandchildren, and that's more gratifying.

BFG auger motor in the RT-700. It's awesome!

Thanks guys! I'm not letting any of this bother me as I have 2 steaks on right now and drinking a beer. Nice extreme smoke ang and then sear the $h1t out of them. I do want the Smoke Daddy stick burner deflector though!!!

what other interest do you have?

I'm retired now, not really by choice, but it works for me. I keep busy in my shop with my woodworking and leather work. Love to sail, but sold my boat a few years back after my job had me move to Oklahoma. I'm back in Texas now and wishing I had my boat back. Love to shoot and reload all my...

BFG auger motor in the RT-700. It's awesome!

I'm too lazy to go back and re-read 19 pages of replies, but I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem? Today I decided to clean my GrillGrates, grill racks and vacuum out the firepot. And by the way, thanks to this tread...
