    Bullseye First Time Using Bullseye

I had this problem with mine too. I found that starting it up with the lid open always works. I usually run it for about 5min with the lid open, and then close it and let it get up to temp. I don’t think there is enough ventilation for the startup to effectively get the fire going.

    Bullseye Grease leaking from lid

Yeah. That makes sense. I think it’s a bad design, when you compare it to the Weber kettle.

I wouldn’t think chicken should do that tho

    Bullseye Grease leaking from lid

Wouldn’t the lava lock seal the lid too tight? That’s the reason they have that spacer on there for air flow. I’m curious how others have made a drip edge. Anyone know?

    Bullseye Grease leaking from lid

Bull Bad experience with Knotty Wood pellets…

I’ve had a bad experience with these as well. Tons of ash! More than any other brand I’ve tried, including cheaper ones. I also know someone that due to the length of the pellets, it caused jams in their Rectec. I’d avoid these!

Bull Light Modification and Jerky Rack

You could, but I think you’d have to omit the middle shelf. It would cause the rack to stick out too far and the lid would be unable to close.

Yes, slight mod on that to get it to work on the recteq. Glad you got it figured out.

Honestly, that I can’t answer. I have no clue. But let me know what you find out. So far, I’ve had no issues with the plug.

Not sure if I would try that. You definitely wouldn’t want that bulb to crack and shatter. Hopefully RT can get you a new one ASAP

They are pretty sturdy. I’m pretty sure you could get a brisket on one. Just gotta be mindful of the height limitations.
