    Thoroughly impressed with rt700 quality.

I’m likely going to buy them. I used to put my cast iron pan in the bbq with beef tallow and crank it all the way up to sear. Personally I like to pull my steaks at 100 deg and sear until 115 then let rest. I’m a rare steak guy. I think anything above 140 is for the wife 😂

Is there a “super smoke” mode?

    Thoroughly impressed with rt700 quality.

I just realized the grill will get hotter than 500 in “full” mode.

    Thoroughly impressed with rt700 quality.

I received my rt700 last week. I had time to assemble it on Friday. First impression was wow this quality is amazing. The stainless steel makes a huge difference and everything is just thick! I’ve been using wood pellet smokers for close to 10 years starting with the original mini traeger. I’ve...

    Ordering from Amazon or recteq.com?

Got my rt700 on Wednesday so it took about 10 days from Amazon which I’m not mad at. Got it before Xmas days. I was somewhat surprised with how good of quality this thing is! Everything from the handles to the drip tray are worlds above what I am used to. The metal is so thick. Cooked a nice...

    Ordering from Amazon or recteq.com?

I went with Amazon just because they have all my info already and I’m lazy 😂 hoping I get it before Christmas so I can do a brisket. My green mountain is currently not working. My wife gave me the green light to order it as my Xmas gift 😂 but she was still surprised when the 1300 disappeared...

    Ordering from Amazon or recteq.com?

Looking to order a 700 and was just wondering if people have experienced different results when ordering from Amazon vs directly from the website? Are shipping times around the same?

Help me make up my damn mind... RT 700 or the 590?

Seems like the 700 is the one for me then, it’s smaller than my Daniel Boone by about 7 inches but I think having the hopper in back might make it feel smaller. I also like that the shelf is on the side. If the heating time is negligible I’ll go with the bigger option.

Help me make up my damn mind... RT 700 or the 590?

That’s my question, how is the 700 compared to the Daniel Boone? That GM is huge and barely fits in my cooking area. My wife agree to let me get a new grill on the agreement it has to be a bit smaller.

Help me make up my damn mind... RT 700 or the 590?

I’m on the fence as well! But it’s not a money issue for me, it’s a space issue… I have a built in charcoal grill, a blackstone, and a gigantic Daniel boone green mountain I want to replace. I’ve had to replace the heating element on this thing 5 times in 4 years and decided I’m done doing that...
