    Bullseye RT-380 or propane grill?

I like having a gas grill in the arsenal. I’ve never had a Napoleon, but I think they are highly rated. Are you happy with yours? If so, have you looked into a conversion kit to allow it to run on propane? I assume that is a possibility….

RT-680 Detailed exploded view of RT-680?

I recently disassembled my RT-700 to re-powder coat the skirt that the barrel attaches to. About the only thing I didn’t take apart was the hopper from the barrel. I didn’t see any washers that look like that.

Thanks. That may be the last part standing when I'm gone!

Just to close the loop, I sandblasted the old coating off last weekend and had it powder coated this week. It came out awesome and I don‘t think I will have any more problems with this piece.

    Rib rack or no?

There isn’t much headroom in a 340. I’m not sure a rack with vertical ribs would fit very well, unless the ribs were pretty narrow. I have used the small recteq interior shelf on my 340, which allowed me to lay 2 ribs on the main grate and one on the shelf.

While parts of the grill are stainless steel, much of it is not. Their advertising certainly emphasizes the stainless, but I knew before I bought it that it is not 100% stainless. If done properly, powder coated steel can last a long time. I don't know if this was just a poor quality job or...

Lol, I have one of those also for some issues on my 340. They did offer to send more than one bottle to paint my flaked areas. I’m not sure how many it would take.

I also used the regular POR-15 on parts of my truck. I saw the high heat version on Amazon and I'm tempted to try it, but my preference is powdercoat. I got my first quote back for $100, as long as I sandblast it. I'll try to get another quote or two, but $100 was the limit I already set in...

I think so too. I live on the west coast of Florida on a brackish canal, and things don't seem to last long here.

    Fully agree on both points

I've asked that twice now, but it was mixed with a group of other questions and they never directly answered. But given that they didn't seem to want me to disassemble the grill, I don't get the impression they will sell or give me this part. But I have asked again, so we will see what they say.

That definitely makes sense. But I'm not too patient, and time waiting for enough parts to reduce the cost is also time that I can't use the smoker, so I'm willing to pay to have it done quickly.

That sounds very reasonable. If I can get this done for under $100, I'll be happy.

A guy at work also suggested looking at Eastwood. I will definitely check them out! Thanks!
