It looks like 45 inches from floor to the top of the lid hinge. The top of the lid hinges is maybe 1/2 inch above the lid. I placed a level on the top of the hinge to confirm hinge height against a tape measure. Not sure if there is any height variance between 590s and carts.

I have a Stampede with competition cart and use a generic cover from Amazon: Classic Accessories Veranda Water-Resistant 46 Inch Pellet Grill Cover, $37. It fits well and seems sturdy enough.

No photos, but just smoked steelhead fillets for dinner. Steelhead was marinated in a brown sugar, salt, pepper and vodka solution for 4 hours. The fillets were started on low for 30 minutes and then moved to 225 until 130F. Very tasty.

Perhaps the RTD became disconnected during shipment? ER-3 error is the same for 700 and 590.

590 Manual suggests: ER-3 RTD unplugged/grill over heated Check connection and let grill cool. Turn grill off, then back on again to reset controller and clear code.

Today (10/26/20), the 590 smoke vents are available for purchase from RECTEQ. I just ordered my set.

A customer rep told me that the vents may be in stock in November (no date given).

I installed it only on the upper section of the lid. That area seemed to leak smoke more than the sides or bottom.
