    Bull Chicken Wings

I've done a dozen recipes but I highly recommend my goto. Marinade wings (refrigerated of course) overnight in a 50/50 mixture of soy sauce and orange juice. cook at 400 for 45-60 minutes. flip about half way through and watch them close after 45 minutes. they can go from a dark amber to burnt...

    GrillGrate Feedback?

I love my grill grates but I use it on my green egg, not the 700. I'm fortunate to be able to have the space and the wife that tolerates my BBQ disorder. Pellet grills in general are a good all around cooker but not the "best" with everything. A good heavy sear needs a lot of direct high heat...

Stampede I have to say I am thoroughly underwhelmed so far

I had a similar experience. I find it odd that they cut $.50 savings on a manual and expect folks to get on the internet and search. I eventually found it and like others have said, the nut and bolts are numbered but doesn’t match up with the manual. Give you an example of another thing. Hunts...

New RT product - FLAT TOP GRIDDLE

Lodge makes a griddle pretty cheap. But the whole thing about flat tops is flipping and working the food because everything cooks so fast. Owning the 700 I know if your lookin your not cookin. The temp drops fast when the lid is open. Unlike a free standing griddle where you have a direct flame...

Stampede Stainless S Darkening After Cooks?

Yea it’s a smoker. Smoke stains are like a badge of honor of many good cooks. I didn’t buy jewelry, I bought a smoker. I clean the wet drips and flakey deposits on the lid and sides when it starts to show but as long as it’s not disgusting looking with sauces and grease dripping from it your good.

Lumberjack Pellet Deal $8.88 with Free Shipping

I get it if you don’t have a local supplier of good pellets at an affordable price but I personally don’t like ordering pellets online. Done it a couple times and I get a bag of pellets per box, and in an oversized box as well. Sometimes the bag is ripped open and pellets all over the place in...

    Simple BabyBacks

That’s interesting. I’ve cooked many racks in my egg using the 3-2-1 method. Always came out perfect. First rack on my 700 doing the exact same way they were good but a little dry and tougher then I like. Adding apple juice to the foil time took care of that. So don’t they come out dry going the...

Bull Waiting on shipment? - Make Bacon!

I’ve never heard of that kind of bacon. Is it a new brand?

    Aftermarket RTD (grill temp sensor)?

I stand corrected. Yes the RTD is a resistive changing device. Thanks for the link.

    Aftermarket RTD (grill temp sensor)?

If I’m not mistaking, the probe is a bimetal that produces a very small current that changes with temperature. Not a resistive device but I may be wrong. It may be worth taking a reading using a good meter to see if voltage changes with temp.

    Help! No Smoke!

118!!! Holy smoke, I’m in the mid west where we go from -20 to a rare 100 but usually never over mid 90s a few weeks a year. I cook year round but I don’t think I would stand out there unless I was in the pool at 118.

Stampede 3-2-1 baby back ribs tasty but dry

I’ve smoked many of ribs on my big green egg with the 3-2-1 method and always for a perfect rib. First time I did them on my Rec tec I got the same results as you, good but dry. Only thing I can figure is the egg holds the moisture because of the ceramics. So talking with a friend that is a...

    Help! No Smoke!

Yea if you’re running fine and normal, then it has to be the pellets. I run lumberjack too and get plenty of smoke from them. I’ve got a bag of hickory char by Lumber Jack but havent got down to them yet. I understand they don’t smoke much but more of a charcoal taste. But there regular hickory...

    Bull Light Blacked Out

I keep a bottle of LA totally awesome I get at the dollar store near my grills. I don’t use it to clean the inside of anything but it’s great to clean grease and messes on my outdoor stainless tables. Anyhow, just a squirt on both sides and wait a few seconds to soak and it will wipe off like...

    Bull Char hickory?

Interesting, I’ve run through LJ cherry and apple and now using hickory with a bag of char hickory on top of that. I’ve never had any issues so far (knock knock).
