Bought a bunch of seafood for a seafood boil tonight, had 8 people coming over, went to start the Matador. And nothing happens when I go to start it up, NO gas to light!, lifted tank, plenty of gas, I look down and see some plastic pieces by the tank. I put it together and now see the pieces are from the gas line that attaches to the Tank. Who puts plastic on a part that receives gas, UV, temperature changes, and manhandling every time you hook up a tank. My dinner turned out great but NO thanks to the piss poor design of the gas line. I will be calling Monday for a new gas line replacement then be looking for one with BRASS parts. A wood fire completed my seafood boil.

Was it the plastic knob that screws on to the tank?

You have my admiration for going old-school and completing your seafood boil with a wood fire. Impressive!

I just saw this post while researching round bottom woks for the Matador, so I'm late to the party.

My line started to leak in October of last year and you could smell it with the burners lit so I threw it away.
With all of the pressure issues the stock regulator seemed to have, I researched and found a replacement line here and this 90 degree adaptor so there isn't any stress on the hose connections.

Works really well and I haven't had a single issue with it yet although it is capped at 20psi
