So, I’m curious how often one should clean the inside of the Bullseye? Asking for a friend! :ROFLMAO:

I'm curious as to what all that red/rust colored stuff is that has holes like perforated metal.....

That’s the deflector. It looks like and flakes off like rust, and that’s what most people say causes it. My theory is the heat just burns them out.

Clearly the WiFi "clean" alarm isn't working 🤣
I can’t believe it was still working. I only looked in there today because I’m taking out the deflector to experiment with using a wok on the grate over the fire pot. I just lost track of how long it’s been since I cleaned it.

Hopefully someone will offer a reasonably priced diffuser.

They are stainless. I'm looking for the diffuser photo. Mine has an opening in the middle that has a lid. Makes for easy vacuuming.@
I don't have a Facebook account. I sent email to Terry, hope to hear something soon.

I don't clean mine often, when I do I just clean the ash out of the fire pot, I leave most of the ash on the side to absorb any grease, HOWEVER I have GrillGrates for the Bullseye and leave them on all of the time. On the grill side it has eliminated any grease fires, on the flat side it helps too, unless you cook anything with a lot of grease.
My deflector is rusty but is definitely not flaking like that!

I don't clean mine out very often either like Pops above me. What I do do is everytime I clean out the firepot with my hand and put in a hand full of pellets. I brush the ash off to the side. Frankly, I think it is better to have some ash. If some kind of liquid spills over, the ash will absorb it or at worst if some rain gets in somehow(has happened to my dad), hopefully the ash will absorb the water.

I don't vacuum out either my Bull or Bullseye often. Maybe 3 to 4 times a year. The bullseye slightly more because I cook more often on it. The Bull in the winter it is especially better to keep the ash as insulation. Sometimes I level out the ash in the Bull.

Regardless - the firepot being clean is most important.
